A film that looks at the monumental contributions of Sufi poet, philosopher, musician and courtier Amir Khusro to the art and culture of the Indian sub-continent. His writings in Persian and Hindavi include works such as Qissa Chahar Derwesh (The Tale of the Four Derwishes), Non Sepehr Mathnawi ( Mathnawi of the Nine Skies) and the Tughluq Nama. One of his most important contributions is the introduction of various Persian and Turkish influences to Indian Classical music.
