WELCOME TO THE 193rd EDITION OF “THE fd ZONE”
Long Time Running
90 Mins. /Digital/Col/ English/2016
Synopsis
For a generation, the Hip, more than any other band in Canada, have given Canadians a kind of national soundtrack. Canadians, in turn, have taken the Hip’s music and woven it into what it means to be Canadian. With their own mix of unpretentious grit and heartbreakingly beautiful poetic turns, the Hip have mapped a historical, geographic and emotional landscape with unexpected candour and intimacy. The 2016 Man Machine Poem tour provided a collective moment for all Canadians to celebrate, appreciate, mourn and reflect.
Director : Jennifer Baichwal and Nicholas de Pencier
Producer : Banger Films’ Scot McFadyen and Rachel McLean (Hip-Hop Evolution, Rush: Beyond The Lighted Stage), in association with Shed Creative (a division of Universal Music Canada).
Representatives from the Canadian Consulate, Mumbai and Judy Gladstone from Toronto will be there to present the film and participate in the Q&A.
